Are you sick and tired of always drinking room temperature intra-workout drinks? Would you like a mouthwatering strawberry cocktail of good carbs and BCAAs to fuel your muscles that’s cool and refreshing? Then, I have the perfect remedy for that!

You drink your pre-workout drink on the way to the gym so it’ll kicks in when you get there and you’ll be ready to tear it up. Now—you need something refreshing and energizing to swig on as you pump the iron. Enter my beautiful red Karbolyn cubes! I’ve created a recipe for concentrated Karbolyn BCAA ice-cubes chock-full of strawberry goodness for you to toss into your water for your intra-workout drink. As they melt into your water, they release their cold, their Karbolyn, and their BCAAs to create the perfect intra-workout drink. As the weather heats up, so does the need for a cooling drink during your grueling workout!

Ingredients:

  • 4 scoops Strawberry, Kiwi Strawberry, or Neutral Karbolyn (or a scoop of each! You can mix-n-match)
  • 4 scoops Strawberry BCAAs
  • ¾ shaker cup of water
  • Ice cube tray

Directions:

Take all of the powdered ingredients and put into a shaker cup with the water and shake until mixed together. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. They will be more difficult to get out of the tray than regular ice cubes, so simply turn the it upside down with your hand underneath and run hot water on the underside of the tray for a little while. Shake or bang the cubes out into a freezer safe container and put back into the freezer after taking out as many as you need. To keep them cold on the way to the gym, you may want to put them in a thermos or an insulated bag with cold packs or regular ice cubes.

Nutrition:

This would typically make 4 servings. My ice cube trays have 16 cubes, so that would be 4 cubes = 1 serving.
